Matthew Arnold 2 – 1 Bishop Wand

After a close defeat last game, the year 7 girls were eager to get their first league win of the season. The game kicked off in cold conditions, however that did not affect the girls spirt and motivation. The game started even, with both teams battling hard; Bishop Wand went 1 – 0 up with a good finish from the opposing player. However, Matthew Arnold showed great desire and heart as they equalised almost instantly with a fantastic finish from Willow E.  As the second half kicked off, Matthew Arnold were on the up, creating many chances; that paid off with Lucy M stepping up and scoring a fantastic goal to put Matthew Arnold in the lead. Bishop Wand fought hard to try and equalise hitting the bar; however Matthew Arnold showed their resilience winning the game 2 -1. Well done to all that played, a great effort.
