Our Art, Craft and Design (Textiles) GCSE offers students the opportunity to work with a broad range of materials and skills such alongside creative art skills. Embroidery, sewing machine, fabric dyeing, printing, pattern cutting, embellishing and construction are just some of the skills that students will use in this very practical, experimental and problem-solving based course.

The textiles course is very career driven with a strong focus on costume design, prop design and installation art. Armour, Enchanted Forest Sculpture and Creature Costume Design are just some of the themes that students have enjoyed studying.

Students have the opportunity to attend a twice weekly textiles club in KS3 every week. This is very popular and well attended club which we strongly advise that students participate in before opting for GCSE textiles.
